Generation Questions
Template prompts that inject client-specific details before a document is finalized.
What are Generation Questions?
When you create a document template, some placeholders can be filled automatically from the contact record — name, email, custom fields, etc. But sometimes a document needs information that isn't stored anywhere in Feather yet: a specific price, a project date, a list of deliverables.
Generation Questions let you define those gaps directly in the template. When the document is auto-generated (or manually triggered), Feather prompts you to fill in the answers before finalizing.
The answers are injected into the document one time, for that specific generation. They don't update the contact record.
